Up to that point it was going really well... with Thomas C

Thomas lives in Hampshire, but he was going to be in London for the weekend and so we decided to meet up for a shoot, another attempt at my 3200ISO experimentation. He messaged me saying he was at Wimbledon and he'd be a bit late. I should have guessed at this point that he'd be really late, but I'm used to dealing with Londoners who know public transport well enough to know that you shouldn'attempt to go from Wimbledon to Clapham Common by tube. Indeed, as a non Londoner, Thomas made the mistake of going the short geographical distance in the very roundabout way that the tube network lays out in this part of London.

So Thomas was late. 56 minutes late to be precise. No matter though, I was at home anyway. So I picked him up, we made a cup of tea, we had a chat. I felt like we had a lot in common, but still the atmosphere felt a bit cold. Perhaps it's just a British thing. We finished the tea. I put on some music. We started shooting.

Our conversation before our meeting was very short and vague. I sent him a tweet to ask if he'd be up for helping me out with my experiments. He said yes. That's it. I didn't know what kind of shoot we'd do except it would be indoors, at night, without artificial light. We started by shooting him in the bedroom in the clothes he had on. Then he changed a shirt, then another, then no shirt, then he took his trousers off... so naturally I asked if he wanted to do nudes. He said no.

I felt awkward after that. The pictures taken after that point were awful. I was embarrassed and it showed in the pictures I took. He didn't look embarrassed - it was just something I added to the images. I deleted all two hundred of them. But up to that point it was going really well.
